With summer coming there is nothing better than a chilled glass of white wine, fruity and refreshing but also with a good body. Eidosela Vintage 2013 is the classic expression of Rias Baixas a famous winegrowing area located in Galicia in the Northwest of Spain, influenced by the Atlantic Ocean. Albariño is the most important grape grown along with Loureira and Treixadura (Godello and Mencia are mainly cultivated in Valdeorras). This area is also known as Green Spain and due to this kind of Maritime climate the wines are very acidic. The thick skin of the Albariño grape impart a good structure and body to these wines easily recognizable for the typical aroma of peaches. The majority of the vineyards faces south, and is demarcated by the Miño River. The terrain are, in turn, crossed by another river, the Tea. In Rias Baixas rainfall are very abundant especially during springtime while in summer, due to the influence of the Azores anticyclone, rainfall decreases. The composition of the soils is granitic and sandy very helpful to drain the water in excess.
